Education Activities

Scholarships
>Since its establishment, the Sancaklar Foundation has provided scholarships for almost 8.000 university students, mostly from Siirt province and its counties, as well as providing educational aid and supporting other efforts in this field.

Providing scholarships for university students with insufficient means all around Turkey, the Foundation gives priority to female students to encourage education of girls.

The determined amounts of monthly scholarship payments are deposited to the bank accounts of students found eligible for scholarship grant for 8 months (October to May) through the year.

Graduated scholars are replaced with new ones, and each passing year the number of total scholarship students are increased. Thus the Sancaklar Foundation provides support for more students in need with the opportunity of education.

Conditions of Scholarship Eligibility:
•Insufficient means for education;•Being accepted into a 4 year or more undergraduate program;•Having no criminal record;•Having no employment relation anywhere;•Only 1 person from the same family (only 1 of multiple siblings) can be eligible;•Among siblings from the same family, the female sibling will have priority;•The student should not have grade repetition record;

Documents Required for Application:
•Completing the scholarship application form prepared by the Sancaklar Foundation is sufficient. In addition, candidates can apply in person or by fax.

Students Eligible for Scholarship:
•Students found eligible for scholarship shall be declared on the website of the Foundation.
•Identification copy, criminal record and student documentation of the students shall be required.
•Scholarship grants shall be deposited to the bank account numbers belonging to the student's name from October to May each year.


Conditions Requiring Scholarship Cancellation:
•When the scholar graduates;
•In case the scholar fails a grade;
•In case the scholar commits an infamous crime;
•Use of forged documents;
•Determination of misinformation regarding the financial status of the scholar.
